Recipes, cooking classes,
and meal plan inspiration
for musicians, by a musician.

Hey there! My name is Sarah, and I’m a food blogger, culinary instructor, and professional violinist in the New York metropolitan area. Here at The Hungry Musician, I cater (lol) to musicians because I know the struggle firsthand.
Between rehearsals, performances, teaching, and everything in between, cooking for yourself can feel stressful, monotonous, or at times, even impossible… But it doesn’t have to.

When I started my food blog as a college student in 2011, I was burnt out, practicing from sundown to sunrise. To start prioritizing my own needs, I turned to my lifelong passion for cooking to create easy, nourishing meals that I was excited to eat. I started to feel better physically, and cooking provided creative space and energy that I could then give back to my music.

As time went on and my career progressed - through graduate school, graduate school again (classic), and freelancing - finding time to cook naturally became more challenging. Through it all, I continued to prioritize cooking, so now I’m here to help you do the same.

Through my easy and flexible recipes, you’ll not only make delicious meals - you’ll learn tips, tricks, and techniques to simplify and level up your everyday cooking.
